Dr.Chris Stevenson

Hi! I’m Dr. Chris Stevenson — a board-certified pediatric dentist and dad who’s passionate about helping kids feel confident and cared for at the dentist. I know most kids don’t think much about their teeth, but I believe that early, positive experiences can set them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
Originally from Arizona, I earned my dental degree from Creighton in 2014 and completed my pediatric residency at NYU Langone – Tucson in 2019. I’ve lived in Iowa for the past eight years and truly consider it home — it’s where I’m raising my family and proud to serve this community.
As a father of four (soon to be seven!), including two children on the autism spectrum, I understand how important it is to create a patient, welcoming space for every child. That’s why I built Tooth Haven — a fun, calming dental home where kids feel supported, and parents feel heard. We offer evidence-based care with options like hydroxyapatite toothpaste for families who prefer a more natural approach.
When I’m not in the office, I’m usually spending time with my family, racing through obstacle courses, or playing video games with my kids. I look forward to welcoming your family to Tooth Haven!
